As part of the Arctic Elements safety policy, we want to visualize the risks associated with heliskiing in high alpine terrain. Risks that Arctic Elements staff strives to minimize with you, but at the same time risks that can never be completely eliminated. Typical such hazards associated with heliskiing can be avalanches, rocks, glacier crevasses, cliffs, slide hazards, collision hazards, the nature of the snow cover, water, helicopter etc.
Skiing in mountain areas always means a risk. Arctic Elements guides have years of experience working in this type of terrain. On the mountain it is the guide that decides. In addition to extensive knowledge and experience active work is being done to gather current information, then compiled into avalanche forecasts and other safety instructions.
In all of Arctic Elements trips all mandatory safety equipment is included such as ABS backpack, transceiver, shovel and probe. Our guests will be introduced by their guide how the equipment works and how it will be used.
